Meet Chelsea….

Hello! Thanks for visiting my page! I’m Chelsea, mother to Jack (5) and June (14 months). I am a former Navy nurse, and math teacher. My husband is still in the Navy and I am currently a stay at home with my two little ones living that suburb life in Northern Virginia.

As I transition from a working mom to a stay at home mom, I found myself needing something more. I admit that I have a shopping hobby (ok, addiction) while breastfeeding my little girl. Hence, my revelation to share my hobby with you all! Scrolling through Instagram, I became frustrated with the high costs of cute baby and kid clothes. While I love the feel of a bamboo onesie and I’m sure the quality is amazing, I just don’t see spending $30 on something my baby will grow out of in one week or a $35 shirt my son will spill ketchup on in 2.5 seconds.

You might also be wondering, why don’t I just go to work in the nursing field or find a teaching job. To be honest, I got burnt out with my nursing career after only 5 years. I just never really LOVED my job. And I really think you have to LOVE what you are doing to stick with nursing. I liked teaching, but when we moved I wanted to focus on our family and our new arrival.

This summer, I had some time to reflect on what my true passions are in life. At this point in my life, it is being a mom. I love being a mom, watching my children grow each and everyday truly amazes me. I’m not saying it is easy by any means, and I struggle with something everyday. I want to grow as a person and be the best version of myself for them. I learn more about myself in teaching them to do the right thing. I wanted to create a space where I can continue to grow as a mother and share my journey with you. It is never perfect and I truly evolve as a parent everyday. When your baby is screaming at the top of their lungs at 3 AM, I want you to know that I’ve been there, and it’s hard. When your toddler is having a complete meltdown in the aisle at Target, I’ve felt that same embarrassment. When you hear your 4 year old drop the “F” bomb while he is brushing his teeth, and you stand their in disbelief because you don’t use that language around him……been there.

So, thanks for joining me on this crazy thing we call motherhood. If you can’t tell humor and sarcasm is my specialty, and I’m here to be honest and unfiltered. I hope to share knowledge, laughs, and lots of glasses of wine with you all! Cheers!
